A post production facility that wanted to create a fun atmosphere for their creative clients and staff. Starting with the footprint of a 30 year old warehouse, we directed the project with the reuse of the slab & 3 existing walls.The program was to provide edit suites, sound recording facility, graphics studio, private offices, and community creative areas. 11,000 sqft on 2 levels
Chattahoochee Hills Charter School is located in South Fulton County, just outside of Atlanta. The focus of the school was to have a close tie to nature, allowing the exploration of the world outside of the enclosed structure. The campus consists of 19 classrooms grouped in 13 buildings and clustered along a meandering path. The total class room space is 20,400 sf, the campus is located on an 11 acre wooded site.
The school currently contains grades K-5 and an enrollment of over 300 students. Each grade consists of two buildings and a shared courtyard. The smaller building is a single classroom, approximately 1,200 sf. The larger buildings are 2,000 sf and contain two classrooms. Large windows provide a constant tie to the exterior, while deep overhangs allow the use of the courtyards even during inclement weather. Each class room group contains bathrooms, computer centers, lab space, mechanical and storage space.
The project has a Southface graded Earthcraft Gold rating. Phase II upcoming in 2016.

Working with Chattahoochee Hills Charter School board and the principal to redevelop the overall site Master Plan, we designed 24,000 square foot classroom building for Phase II of the campus. Within the constraints of funding that is available for Charter Schools, we have developed a growing plan for the school's vision.
The vision of the school builds on the idea that children thrive within a setting that engages them thru movement, exploration, experimentation and direct connection to the outside environment.
The new building will provide a 16 classroom expansion to the campus. The building will maintain the close connection to the outdoors that is an integral aspect of the school’s curriculum.
The building will have two floors of classrooms, offices and restrooms. The classrooms will have operable walls which will allow the flexibility to be connected and accommodate multiple functions. The open corridors on the first and second level will have open areas that will be used as outdoor classroom areas. A portion of the building will initially be used as a covered activities area that will accommodate play as well as performance space. This area will be enclosed for additional classrooms and offices in the future when the Phase III Arts Center is added to the campus.
This building will have 14,000 sf of heated space and 10,000 sf of usable outdoor covered space.

Freedom Park Preschool
Most important part of a community are the schools. We are so proud to be apart of this project. Freedom Park Preschool , previously known as Druid Hills Preschool, has settled into it’s forever home. Built in 1923, will have many generations of little feet and voices filling its halls and classrooms. As a part of our services we assisted the non-profit with the property Rezoning Application, Community Presentations, Design Documents, Construction Documents, Pricing, Permitting and Construction Observation - All completed in an 8 month period!
A small 2 story building , planned as professional office space. Our work involved providing an updated design of the facade, and reorganization of the interior office layout. Services were Design Concept, Planning, Construction Documents, and Construction Observation.
Open Hand provides home delivered meals to individuals with health issues, health counseling, and volunteer facilities. The campus expansion provides the ability to provide over 20,000 meals a day. The previous facility was 13,000 square feet, the new campus expanded the facility to 33,000.
The project consisted of : developing a project masterplan, site plan, design and programing of the offices, production kitchen, food packaging, volunteer spaces, food packaging, food storage, coordination of all consultants (MEP, Civil, & Structural), construction documents, interior finish documents/ specifications, coordination of project signage, fundraising documents, coordination of permit documents for the City of Atlanta, & construction administration.
A small film company with big dreams. We helped them solve zoning issues, Master planning of the site, providing office Building design, and 'creative' studio planning. The facility contains a lofty 22’ tall entry/reception, two post-production suites, a 900 sf studio, production offices, a tape library, a conference room and a 2,000 sf rooftop terrace with views of the Atlanta skyline.
This project is an adaptive reuse of a 60,000 gsf warehouse to serve as an office, showroom and warehouse for company that imports exotic furniture from Indonesia, China and Thailand. The corporate offices revolve around a two story gallery showroom. The conference room features a floating ceiling reminiscent of the Indonesian boat structure. The warehouse not only stores the stock but serves as an extension of the showroom that showcases the many hand-crafted treasures
New 21,000 gsf office building. Due to site constraints, a mid-level garage splits the 3 story upper office/studio from the 2 story photography studio below. This award winning design houses the corporate offices for a prestigious design/communications firm. Located on a challenging residual intown site, the facilities design is enhanced by the use of simple forms and basic materials. Natural light and shadows emphasize the forms and textures.
