Love of gospel music, southern roots, love for landscaping and a banking career all blended together to create the driving forces behind this design. The home not only has a small physical footprint but also a small energy footprint. The many energy efficient features including a 500 gallon rain cistern helped earn this home an EarthCraft certification. With eyes fixed on the future, a site across from the future Beltline Park was selected. A small, fire damaged home was removed and a new home that takes scalar and material cues from the neighborhood was built. The compact home has 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths on two floors with a feature “dipping pool” in the courtyard that is accessed from the living room through large sliding doors for cooling off during the hot summer days.
